New Orleans, 2016

Runner Destination Events reserved travel packages for “Run the Big Easy” group to the New Orleans Rock Roll Marathon, Half Marathon, Relay and 10K in February 2016. The travel packages consisted of a round-trip flights, transfers, and hotel. Runners and Walkers came from Baltimore, DC, Philadelphia, Charlotte, and Orlando areas, which totaled to be more than 100 people.

The Rock 'n' Roll Marathon course offers runners and walkers a virtual guided tour of the most historic and scenic high points of New Orleans. Starting and finishing outside the storied Louisiana Superdome on Poydras Street, the course takes in the French Quarter and lively Bourbon Street, scenic and majestic St. Charles Avenue, the stately Garden District and two of the finest urban green spaces in the nation – Audubon Park and City Park. At night, the runners and walkers explored Bourbon Street to get in the nightlife after our amazing half marathon and marathon. Oh what a beautiful city!

Leaving to head home, Runner Destination Events took over the airport! Everyone had to show off our medals and their Marathon race jacket. By the way, we did eat up to 26.2 miles of “Big Easy” streets!

Miami, 2016

Runner Destination scheduled round-trip flights and transfers from Fort Lauderdale airport to South Beach hotels for the runners and walkers. They arrived from Baltimore, MD and Philadelphia, PA to “Run Miami” in January 2016.

Miami Marathon and Half Marathon unfolded as runners and walkers made their way through the Port of Miami, Art Deco District and finish down along the MacArthur Causeway. Miami was ready for Runner Destination Events to “Run Miami” with its scenic beaches and bay-area paths in a race that lets you explore all the wonderful things that make Miami famous.

The Tropical 5K was the long-standing kickoff for the Miami Marathon and Half Marathon. Every year many runners and walkers own the MacArthur Causeway with the Downtown Miami skyline behind them and Miami Beach ahead of them.

Miami’s weather was in the low 50’s and wind chills on race day. Blurr! in Miami. Everyone was prepared with light cold gear and ready to cross the “Finish Line” and earn their “Bling”. This weekend was filled with meet-ups, laughs, and eating the pavement up to 29.3 miles. How many did you do?

Cincinnati, 2015

Runner Destination Events was squealing on the drive to Cincinnati, Ohio while enjoying the beautiful mountains on the way.  We experienced “Run the Flying Pig” at the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon in May 2015.   The group stayed at the newly renovated Courtyard by Marriott in Covington, Kentucky. The Courtyard is located in the just minutes from National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, U S Bank Arena- Cincinnati Reds Stadium, and the Paul Brown Stadium- Cincinnati Bengals Stadium.

It’s the largest weekend party in town, and we were apart of it! The racecourse started in Downtown Cincinnati and crossed the Taylor-Southgate Bridge over the Ohio River into Northern Kentucky where it traveled through Newport and crossed westward over the Licking River via the Fourth Street Bridge into Covington.  Can you believe running into two states?  Welcome to Ohio and Welcome to Kentucky!!  The course had a lot of crowd support.  Yes, you can say the entire city shutdowns the entire weekend to enjoy the company of runners from everywhere.

Runner Destination Events ran the “Flying Pig” and “Squeal” for 13.1 miles on the pavement.

Niagra Falls, 2014

Runner Destination Events discovered a refreshing running experience to “Run the Niagara Falls” at the Niagara Falls Women’s Half Marathon in June 2014. The group stayed at the newly renovated Courtyard by Marriott, Niagara Falls. The Courtyard is located in the "centre of it all," just minutes from Niagara Falls, Casino Niagara, the Fallsview Casino, Clifton Hill and major Niagara attractions.

At the Niagara Falls Women’s Half Marathon, the group consisted of Black Girls Run (BGR), Half Fanatics, Marathon Maniac, and 50 States members traveling from all over the USA to “Run the Niagara Falls”. The swag bag was out of this world! Every runner and walker received a bottle of Niagara wine and met Kathrine Switzer at Package Pickup.

The Runner Destination Events and the BGR Baltimore hosted the Meet and Greet. The Race Director was introduced and we had ladies from TX, DC, Southern Maryland, Philadelphia, Delaware, and South Jersey in attendance.

Who can go to the “Falls” without enjoying what Canada has to offer? Runner Destination Events coordinated the Niagara Falls-Journey Behind the Falls tour and drove over to Toronto, Canada to see the CN Tower. It was AWESOME!!

Runner Destination Events ran the “Falls” and covered 13.1 miles on the pavement.
